KEN SIMON: Saxophonist, Flutist and composer who was born in New York and has appeared both as a leader and sideman performing standards and originals in the U.S., the Caribbean, Europe and Asia.
After receiving a B.A. from Long Island University, he taught in the New York City public school system and currently teaches privately. He studied with Michael Solis, Lee Konitz, Jaki Byard, and world renowned Joe Allard.
He has performed with luminaries Cecil Taylor, Rashied Ali, Machito, Olatunji, Eartha Kitt, Rev. Ike, Jerry Vale, Jason Alexander and many others at cultural institutions, concert halls, museums, churches, nightclubs and radio stations of note:
